Revell plastic model kit – In 1964 an attractively designed coup, specially developed for the youthful driver, was shown to the public at an expo in New York. This sporty and affordable Ford Mustang, the Pony Cars originator, was offered from April ’64 and had sold an astounding 680,000 in six months. A high-performance edition of the Mustang, the Carroll Shelby-built GT 350 with a 4.7L V8 engine, emerged in ’65. The Hertz rental car company requested 1000 of the GT 350 H (for Hertz) in black with gold trim, enabling their clients to lease racing cars and this exceptional 306 bhp Mustang found favor with them very rapidly. The kit contains 86 parts. The finished model is 191 mm long.
